Welcome

These stylish wood cabins are west facing. Exposing you to beautiful views, including Freshwater Bay, Tennyson monuments that both lead to the Needles. The cabins are fully insulated and heated hence they are open 365 days of the year. They have huge veranda doors that allow you to absorb the stunning location, may it be on a clear day with blue skys or a starry night. Thecabins have a decking in front and down the side of them with bbq, seating  and a jacuzzi. The decking has a wooden hand rail and has chicken wire at 37" high. Cabin 1 has a sloped entrance, providing wheelchair access.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Wood cabins by boat or ferry.
The nearest port is Yarmouth. The port is 3.5 miles / 5.6 km from Wood cabins.

There are other ports that the ferry arrives at depending on which is the nearest to your route of travel, these are East Cowes and Fishbourne

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a communal car park which is situated near to the accommodation and then wheel barrows are provided for guests to take their luggage to their designated site . From the parking to the main entrance, there are 4 steps. There is no ramp and no lift.

Due to the stunning location we provide a true glamping style treat. The path to the cabins is uneven and there are steps leading down to the veranda. There is a 40" high hand rail down the steps

From the street to the main entrance, there are 4 steps. There is no ramp and no lift.
The path is sloped.

The door is 1270mm wide.
The main entrance has 1 steps.
The main door is side hung and manual.

The lounge entrance area is accessed by level entry from the front decking (cabin 1 - via 15ft slope, cabin 2 via 4 steps with a 6inch decline per step. There is a 40 inch high hand rail down the steps) through one of the 2 sets of double doors. There is a 4.5 inch lip to the door - which has to be stepped over

We have high colour contrast between walls and doorframes.

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, floor standing lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED and energy saving. Some lights can be controlled independently.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
All pillows and duvets are anti allergy and microfibre
The bedroom nearest the main entrance has 1 steps.
We have bathrooms with a separate shower.

Cabins

From the main entrance to the laundry, there is level access. The route is 1270mm wide, or more. We have an iron and ironing board. You can use the ironing board sitting down.

The kitchen is open plan connecting with the lounge and the dining area at level entrance from both. Ironing board supplied but Iron is in the honesty shed due to child safety.

Cabin

We have an open plan kitchen.
From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access.
The route is 1270mm wide, or more.
The work surface is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The hob is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The sink is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The oven is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.

The kitchen is open plan connecting with the loounge and dining area with level entry from both. The worktops are pine/ wood finish and the sink is stainless steel. There is a standard fridge freezer which is situated in the kitchen and is set on the floor.

From the main entrance to the gardens, there are 3 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.
The route is sloped.

To get to a table, there are no steps.
From the main entrance to the terrace, there is 1 step.

To be able to access the terrace from inside you have one step to go over that is 4.5inches. If you are going to the terrace from an external route you have four steps with a 6inch decline. (Cabin 1)

Accessibility equipment

All dogs are welcome on site in our various sorts of accommodation, but please may we ask owners to clear up dogs waste. Assistance/ guide dogs are allowed on the Farm park but to be on leads at all time. Please note that no dogs are allowed in the Wallaby area.
We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.

There are plenty of sites where these could be charged

Emergency evacuation procedures

We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

All accomodation has smoke/ heat detection, fire blankets, fire extingushers and carbon monoxide detectors.
