Welcome

Westbrook Bay, a designated water ski area, perfect for people who love their water sports. It is a great family beach with a sandy bay, where a small section of sand remains exposed at high tide.

There is an adventure golf course 'Strokes' along the promenade, with tennis and bowls close by. There is a cafe on  the promenade to keep you in constant supply of ice cream. The nearest car park is located along the promenade of Westbrook, Barns car park.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Westbrook Bay by bus and train.
The nearest bus stop is on Westcliff Road. The bus stop is 0.3 miles / 0.5 km from Westbrook Bay.
The nearest train station is Margate. The train station is 0.5 miles / 0.8 km from Westbrook Bay.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Central Cars by calling 01843 888888. You can get a taxi with Thanet Cars by calling 01843 333333. You can get a taxi with United Cars by calling 01843 581581.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is no official drop off points but the best place to stop would be adjacent to Westcliff Gardens, as the ramp access is opposite this road.

There is parking available at the far west of the beach at promenade level, (Barnes Car park) alternatively there is lots of parking available on the main road (Royal Esplanade)

From the nearest car park to the beach, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. There is a portable ramp. The entrance is 5640mm wide.
There are Deck chairs.
There is a First Aid Station.

Bay inspectors in season assist with minor first aid.

RNLI at weekend and Bank Holidays from 23rd May until 4th July, then 7 days a week until 6th September.
