Welcome

Victoria House, is a stone built family home, which stands above the village over looking rolling farm- land. A spacious centrally heated house with large relaxing lounge, Smart T.V. & WiFi.  The dining room makes your evening meals a time to savour, prepared from a fully fitted kitchen.  The conservatory, is the place to glimpse the wild life over breakfast or sunset, with garden furniture. A shower room is accessible from the conservatory. The upper floor sleeps six:- double with wash basin, twin with shower, double - over looking the rear garden. (A further twin room is available at an extra charge). Family bathroom. Cottage garden to the front and rear. Laundry room and off road parking for 3 cars.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Victoria House by bus and train.
The nearest bus stop is in the center of Hartington. Hartington is a rural village in the heart of the Peak District so buses are not frequent. They can be caught to the local market towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne. The bus stop is 0.3 miles / 0.5 km from Victoria House.
The nearest train station is Buxton. The train station is 10 miles / 16.1 km from Victoria House.

Trains from Buxton only go to Manchester.

Stoke train station - 24 miles, Derby train station - 24 miles

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. The path is sloped.
The route is 1500mm wide, or more.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights and bedside lamps.
Lights are LED and traditional filament. Some TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
Although this is a pet friendley property we respect that dogs are not allopwed upstairs. and Details of cleaning product can be made available on request
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.
The bedroom nearest the main entrance has 13 steps.
We have bathrooms with a separate shower.
Some showers have a handrail.
We have bathrooms with a bath.
Some toilets have handrails.
The walls and the fittings have high colour contrast.
The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the right.

Laundry room

From the main entrance to the laundry, there are 10 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.
We have an iron and ironing board. You can use the ironing board sitting down.

Standard size washing machine and tumble dryer at waist height in a laundry room in the cellar.

We have a separate kitchen and dining room. From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access.
The route is 800mm wide, or more.
The door is 790mm wide.
The work surface is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The hob is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The sink is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.
From the main entrance to the dining room, there is level access. The route is 800mm wide, or more. The door is 850mm wide.

There are two doors leading into the dining room, one is 800mm wide leading from the kitchen the other is 850mm wid leading from the hall/corridor.

From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access. The route is 700mm wide, or more. The door is 740mm wide.

There are two door leading into the lounge one from the main entrance hall which is 740mm wide and one leading from the entrance hall corridor which is 860mm.

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. The door is 900mm wide.

The main entrance leads into the conservatory which is 4420mm by 2000mm, then through another door 740mm wide into the entrance hall. A downstairs shower room and toilet is located from the conservatory with a door 800mm wide.l

Front garden

From the main entrance to the gardens, there is 1 step. There is no lift and no ramp. The route is sloped.

The front graden is accessed from the driveway at the side of the property, or through a gate from the road side.

This is a cottage garden on a slope with a lawned area.

Accessibility equipment

The down stairs shower room would be suitable for assistance dogs. The nearest public toilet is situated in Hartington Village next to the Hartington Farm Shop. These toilets are accessed via steps.
We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.

A garage is available for the storage of mobility scooters or powered wheelcahirs on request.
