Accessibility Guide for TwinPeakes Fly Fishing Headquarters

Travel by public transport

You can get to TwinPeakes Fly Fishing Headquarters by bus.

The bus which will drop you off at the entrance to the Milton of Crathes is Stagecoach Bus no 201 . Get off at the Crathes Castle stop and you will see the Milton of Crathes entrance by the old train. A few hundred yards and you are in the Milton Of Crathes Complex The bus stop is 1 miles / 1.6 km from TwinPeakes Fly Fishing Headquarters.

TwinPeakes Headquarters  is located in the centre of the quadrangle 

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Dee Taxis by calling 07795 817671.

We can offer a pick up service from accommodation for our Fly Fishing Experinces.  

Wheelchairs can be transported, by prior arrangement, in the boot of our Ford Rangers

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.

There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.

From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. The path is sloped.

The route is 5000mm wide, or more.

Cars can deliver guests to the entrance of our Headquaters by prior arrangement

TwinPeakes Fly Fishing

The Headquaters is on 2 levels with steps to the upper floor and lower from directly from the main entrance.  There is a seating area adjacent to the entrance which customers can use next to th log burner

 Provision to enter the lower floor from outside can be made with prior arrangement 

TwinPeakes Fly Fishing Head Quarters - Upper Floor

From the main entrance to this area, there are 7 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.

There are 7 steps from the entrance to the upper level and 5 steps down to the lower level

Fly Fishing School - Green Space

Some of the trail has a loose surface.

This is a large flat green space

From the main entrance to the area, there are 5 steps.

These steps have a rail however they are deep and requires careful ascent and decent 

Wading Sticks for use when wading in the river.  And the guide is happy to provide support when walking in the river

We recommend that guests wear life jackets when in the water

There are toilets including a disabled toilet at the Milton Brasserie which is within our complex and a 50m walk from TwinPeakes headquarters. Access is on the flat and there are no steps to access the toilet facilities

Emergency evacuation procedures

We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

The fire alarm has flashing lights.

Customer care support

Some staff have disability awareness training.

We have other services for people with accessibility requirements.

When guests book an experience we ask them to let us know of any medical conditions which may affect their ablity to fish.  We will then work with them to make the experience accessible to them , by guiding them through the options available.  We ensure that we select approrpiate sections of the river to fish with suitable ammenities in the vicinity  based upon guests requirements
