Welcome

North Ormesby Minstrels perform in the Trinity Centre. The venue is owned and operated by Holy Trinity Church. The centre is used by a wide variety of community groups and agencies for meetings and conferences. We share the venue with many other organisations, including the NHS, Social Services, training agencies, voluntary and community groups, local business groups, foodbank, and other groups associated with the church.

Level access

The main entrance has level access.

There is level access from the main entrance to:

Travel by public transport

You can get to The Trinity Centre by bus.
The nearest bus stops are five minutes from the venue, on King's Road. The bus stop is 0.2 miles / 0.3 km from The Trinity Centre.

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access.

The main entrance has level access.
The main door is side hung and automatic.
The door has a push button to open it.

On entrance, IR sensor opens door.

On exit, a large push button at wheelchair height opens door.

Getting around inside

Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

From the main entrance to the desk, there is level access. The desk has a low section.

Things to See and Do

We have a designated quiet space.

Spectator/ Audience viewing areas

There are stewards to help disabled visitors.
We have a viewing area for wheelchair users.

Main hall

From the main entrance to the viewing area, there is level access. Personal assistants and friends can sit with wheelchair users.
Stewards can bring food and drink to wheelchair users.

If you are unable to get to the refreshment hatch, volunteers would be happy to assist if no one was with you that could.

Bar

Bar

From the main entrance to the bar, there is level access.

Bar may not always be available, and location depends on nature of the performance. Hot and cold refreshments are always served.

Public toilet

There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
From the main entrance to the public toilet, there is level access. The toilets have handrails.

There are manual doors to pass to get to the toilets. Toilet door is also manual. Please ask if you need assistance with these.

There is an emergency pullcord.

Wash basin at wheelchair height.

Baby change facility also.

Sanitary waste bins provided.

Shop

Refreshment hatch

From the main entrance to the shop, there is level access.

This is accessed from the passageway from the main entrance into the main hall. There is a serving hatch where drinks, snacks, and confectionary are served. Volunteers will be happy to assist if required. Please inform if you have any specialist dietary requirements, or allergies. Food served may contain allergens, or be prepared in an area where allergens are also handled.

Cloister (sheltered outdoor)

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access.

This is outdoors, but with perimeter cover to shelter from rain, and enclosed.

Can be used as a quiet space if needed, but dress warmly, as it can be very cold out there.

Getting around outside

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building. We kindly ask that patrons smoking outside, do so away from the entrance, as the wind blows smoke back into the building if people smoke near the door.

Customer care support

The only toilet area for assistance dogs is around the Market Square outside the venue. Bins are available around the Market Square for waste disposal. If you intend to bring an assistance dog, please inform us in advance. Performances may contain flash pyrotechnics with loud bangs, and smoke effects are used. Please keep this in mind if an assistance dog is required.

Emergency evacuation procedures

We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

If you are not able to exit the building without assistance, please alert a volunteer on arrival, so in the event of evacuation, we can assist you.

Customer care support

Some staff have disability awareness training.

Some company members have disability awareness training due to their employment. They could be cast members though, so we cannot guarantee they will be available during a performance.
