Welcome

South Moor Farm provides Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in a 150 year old farm house .

Enjoy a relaxing stay in a quiet rural location on a working farm in Dalby Forest. Or, if you prefer an active holiday, Walking, Mountain Biking or horse riding in Dalby Forest.

An excellent full English Breakfast included, home cooked meals and packed lunches available.

We keep dogs, chickens and sheep.

Well controlled pets welcome.

Travel by public transport

There are no public tansport services in this remote rural location.

Only accessible by Taxi, Car, Bicycle,Foot or Horse.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Station Taxis, Scarborough. by calling 01723 366366. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. The route is 4000mm wide, or more.

The main entrance has level access.
The door is 750mm wide.
The main door is side hung and manual.

There are two doors at the entrance, one into the porch and a second into the house.

Getting around inside

Hall

From the main entrance to reception, there is level access. The check-in desk has a low section for wheelchair users. You can sit down at reception.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED. TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
For food allergies please ring 01751460285 so that we can cater for you. We can give details of cleaning products on request.
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.
No bedrooms have level access. The bedroom nearest the main entrance has 19 steps.
We have bathrooms with a bath and overhead shower.
Two steps to first landing. Twelve steps to second landing. Five steps to top landing.

Place to eat and drink

Dining room.

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. The route is 750mm wide, or more. The door is 750mm wide.
To get to a table, there are no steps.
There is no background music.
We cater for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free), nut free, low fat, low potassium, low sodium and high fibre specific diets.

Please phone 01751460285 to discuss dietry requirements. 24 hours notice required if we need to purchase special items.

Getting around outside

Dalby Forest

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. The route is 4000mm wide, or more. The entrance is 4000mm wide.

Dalby Forest has many trails suitable for all terain electric buggies.

There are a few trails which are suitable for wheel chairs.

The nearest toilet are for assistance dogs is the grassed area to the East of the house.
We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.

Two charging points for electric cars. Type 1, Type 2, 13 Amp  and Caravan type.
