Welcome
This semi natural, ancient woodland reserve is located just 4 miles from Gloucester. Home to breeding nightingales, as well as many of our resident woodland species it is a great place to visit in Spring to experience birdsong. Through the seasons the ride network changes colour and on a warm summers day there are a plethora of butterflies and other insects to enjoy.
The car park is open at weekends between 10am - 4pm from April through to September, but the reserve is open at all times. Legal parking can be found in laybys along the A40 and pavement links these to the reserve entrance.
Buses from Gloucester stop outside the reserve approxinmately hourly.
