Welcome

Queensberry House is a four-star B&B with three double en suite rooms. All guest facilities are on the ground floor including lounge and dining room. We have attended a Dementia Friend session with Alzheimer Scotland and received a Quality Assurance award from Visit Scotland.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Queensberry House by bus and train.
Moffat High Street has a bus stop for routes that call at Dumfries, Lockerbie, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The bus stop is 0.3 miles / 0.5 km from Queensberry House.
The nearest train station is Lockerbie. The train station is 16 miles / 25.8 km from Queensberry House.

There is a bus from Lockerbie station that takes you to Moffat high street.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Moffat Taxis by calling 01683 221666. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.

There is plenty of space to park right outside Queensberry House. We are situated on a quiet road with little traffic so there is rarely a problem with parking.

From the street to the main entrance, there are 2 steps. There is no ramp and no lift.

Getting around inside

Hallway

There is no reception as such just a hallway where guests are greeted. There is a guest lounge with seating and is close by.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps, desk or table lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED. TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
We can give details of our cleaning products on request. Our rooms are cleaned to a high standard and we communicate with our guests to accommodate their needs.
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.

From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access. The route is 1820mm wide, or more. The door is 840mm wide.

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. The route is 1820mm wide, or more. The door is 840mm wide.
To get to a table, there are no steps.
If you need table service, staff can help you.
The route through the dining area is 800mm wide, or more.
There is no background music.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.
We cater for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free), nut free, low fat, high fibre and vegan specific diets.

We ask guests to inform us of dietary needs and we do our best to accommodate them.
