Welcome

Providence Place Guest house is a small family run establishment located close to the sea front. We have ground floor rooms adapted to the needs of the disabled and those with mobility issues. If stairs are your only problem then our top of the range stair lift will help you to the first floor bedrooms. We have our own private carpark which can accomodate 8 -12 cars and a quiet terrace where you can enjoy the afternoon sunshine with a drink from our licensed bar. All our food is home cooked and we will do our best to cater for all diets whatever your needs

Travel by public transport

You can get to Providence Place Guest House by bus and train.
Bridlington bus station is about 100 yards down the road. The bus stop is 0.3 miles / 0.5 km from Providence Place Guest House.
The nearest train station is Bridlington train station. The train station is 1 miles / 1.6 km from Providence Place Guest House.

The train station is about a mile away with taxis available outside if needed

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with scott blake taxis by calling 07703 855888. You can get a taxi with east coast private hire by calling 01262 676141. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The route is 1200mm wide, or more.

Getting around inside

Reception

From the main entrance to reception, there is level access. You can sit down at reception.

Our reception/hall is 2350mm wide with a high seat arm chair. 

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED, energy saving and traditional filament. Some TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
Some bedrooms have fitted carpets.
We have wi-fi free bedrooms, for visitors with electro-sensitivity.
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.
We have bed blocks.

Accessible bedroom Room 3

The route to the bedroom is 1600mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 800mm wide. There is 1500mm at the side of the bed. The bed is 500mm high. There is 120mm under the bed.
There is a low clothes rail. You can use the rail sitting down.
The bedroom is twin. The bathroom is ensuite. The bathroom door is 730mm wide.
The shower has a seat. The shower has a handrail.
The bathroom has a level access shower. The level access shower has a seat. There is a shower chair available. The level access shower has handrails.
The toilets have handrails. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the right. There is 1300mm at the side of the toilet.
There is 1100mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 480mm high.
The basin is 740mm high. The taps are lever operated. There is space under the basin, with no pedestal or boxing.

There are 2 single beds, one of them being a profiling (electric rise/lower) with side rails, the bed is set up for left hand access but can be changed to right hand and has access from both sides. The free standing wardrobe has a low rail so to be reached from a wheelchair. There are 2 high seat chairs which can be removed if whished.  There is a fold down seat in the wet room and a commode, and a number of fixed and fold down grab rails

The route to the bedroom is 1100mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 720mm wide. There is 750mm at the side of the bed. The bed is 550mm high. There is 0mm under the bed.
There is a low clothes rail. You can use the rail sitting down.
The bedroom is twin. The bathroom is ensuite. The bathroom door is 700mm wide.
The bathroom has a level access shower. The level access shower has a seat. There is a shower chair available. The level access shower has handrails.
The toilets have handrails. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the left. There is 720mm at the side of the toilet.
There is 1100mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 420mm high.
The basin is 820mm high. The taps are lever operated. There is no space under the basin.

Lounge

The entire ground floor is on one level with no ramps or steps. The chairs provided can be moved as required to accommodate guests requirements.

The door is 830mm wide.

Public toilet

The toilet door is 700mm wide.
The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the front only.
There is 1500mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 440mm high. The toilets have handrails.

Place to eat and drink

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. The route is 830mm wide, or more. The door is 830mm wide.
To get to a table, there are no steps.
The route through the dining area is 800mm wide, or more.
There is background music sometimes.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.
We cater for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free), nut free and low fat specific diets.

Our pretty patio is enclosed on 2 sides by a  hedge and a wall.  Set under the pergola are 3 tables with numerous chairs

We provide wheelchairs. There is a charge for wheelchairs.

electric mobility scooters can be hired @£10 per day

We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.
