Welcome

At Prince's Barn we wish to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible and are committed to providing suitable access for all our guests, whatever their individual needs. We aim to accurately describe our facilities to give you the confidence to book Prince's Barn for your specific requirements.

Level access

The main entrance has level access. The ramp is permanent.

We have non-allergic bedding.
There is an emergency call system next to the bed.

Level access bedrooms

The route to the bedroom is 750mm wide, or more.
The bedroom door is 750mm wide, or more.
There is unobstructed floor space 1200mm by 900mm, or more.
The bathroom has a level access shower.

Hearing

The (bedroom) TVs have subtitles.

General

The accommodation is rated by the National Accessible Scheme as suitable for:

Travel by public transport

You can get to Prince's Barn by bus and train.
The nearest bus stop is on the main road in Horning. The bus stop is 1 miles / 1.6 km from Prince's Barn.
The nearest train station is Wroxham. The train station is 3 miles / 4.8 km from Prince's Barn.

Taxis can be booked in advance for transport from Wroxham Station to Prince's Barn.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Wroxham Taxis by calling 01603 782925. You can get a taxi with Stalham Cabs by calling 01692 581666. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The route is 1200mm wide, or more.

Ample parking is in front of the property for all vehicles on a level concrete surface, with wall lamps either side of the front door to provide lighting in this area.

Getting around inside

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have wall lights, bedside lamps, desk or table lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are energy saving. TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
Some bedrooms have fitted carpets.
We have wi-fi free bedrooms, for visitors with electro-sensitivity.
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.
The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the front only.

Accessible bedroom single

The route to the bedroom is 1160mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 770mm wide. There is 1050mm at the side of the bed. The bed is 600mm high. There is 180mm under the bed.
There is an emergency call system next to the bed.
The bedroom is single. The bathroom is separate. It is not an ensuite.
The bathroom has a level access shower. There is a shower chair available. The level access shower has handrails.
The toilets have handrails. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the front only. There is 870mm at the side of the toilet.
There is 1100mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 430mm high.
The basin is 820mm high. There is space under the basin, with no pedestal or boxing.
The wet room

We have a separate kitchen and dining room. From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access.
The route is 810mm wide, or more.
The door is 1120mm wide.
The work surface is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The hob is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The sink is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
From the main entrance to the dining room, there is level access. The route is 960mm wide, or more. The door is 810mm wide.

There is a rectangular table with 630mm from floor to lowest point of table (under space) and is 800mm from the floor to the table top. There is free space around the table. Chairs (8) all moveable with padded seats that have no arms, a carver chair with arms is available if required. The furniture can be moved. There is a nest of 3 occasional tables.

From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access. The route is 960mm wide, or more. The door is 850mm wide.

The sitting area has a mixture of seating with a sofa and soft chairs with non-feather cushions.There is a wide screen digital television with access to Sky with remote control, subtitles and a DVD/Blu-ray player.There is 1 free standing dual halogen uplighter and reading light.The is one rug which can be moved.

Getting around outside

Patio Garden

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 810mm wide, or more. The entrance is 1160mm wide.

The garden is a patio garden with shingle beds enclosed within a wattle fence and gate. It is all level.

It can also be accessed by three other points as follows:-

The garden can also be accessed from the parking area from a ramp1200mm wide through a gate of the same width along a footpath of the same width which is paved with slabs 600x600mm.

From the kitchen with a door 1550mm and a step1830mm wide by 130 mm high.

From the sitting room through double glazed doors 1450 mm wide with a single 130 mm step

There is a circular wooden table 740 mm, clear space underneath 700mm with chairs which have a seat height of 460 mm with cushions 530 mm.

Assistance dogs can access a toilet area in the paddock opposite the barn 10m from the front of the barn, access is level.
We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.

In the shed 6m to the right of the main entrance when facing Prince's Barn.
