Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.
From the parking to the main entrance, there are 2 steps. There is no ramp and no lift.

The car parking is loose gravel and the entrance door into the house up a steep step into the porch and a further threshold step into the main house

The door is 740mm wide.
The main entrance has 2 steps.

Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED. TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
We have house dogs and guest dogs may have stayed in guest bedrooms. Bedding is laundered off site but towels and pillows are laundered on site. We can provide details of our cleaning products on request.
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.
The bedroom nearest the main entrance has 16 steps.
All bedrooms are ensuite.
We have bathrooms with a bath and overhead shower.

Lounge

Guest lounge

From the main entrance to the lounge, there are 2 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.

The floor is an old slate flagstone floor which is uneven in places.  The lounge has a rug over the flagstone floor.

Place to eat and drink

From the main entrance to the dining area, there are 2 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.
To get to a table, there are 2 steps.
Guests can request a large print format or I can discuss the menu with them orally
If you need table service, staff can help you.
There is background music sometimes.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.
We cater for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free), nut free, low fat, low potassium and low sodium specific diets.

Specific dietary requirements may be able to be met upon request in advance but the menu will be limited.

The dining area has wooden floor boards with rugs placed on top of the floor boards.

Getting around outside

Pengelly Farmhouse gardens

From the main entrance to the gardens, there is level access.

The entrance is in the garden, there is a loose gravel path around the garden and a small 100mm lip to get onto the grass.

Paddock

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access.

There is an open paddock off the parking area, the grass is mowed in season.  The ground can be soft when wet.

Accessibility equipment

The adjacent garden or paddock within the property grounds.
We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.

There is a scullery in the owners private quarters where a scooter or wheelchair could be recharged if it is 240V Mains Charger.

Emergency evacuation procedures

The host is prepared to assist disabled visitors in the event of an evacuation if he is on site at the time.

Customer care support

Routinely the host will be on site but will have to be off site for school runs / shopping etc.
