Newby Bridge Caravan Park is nestled in tranquil woodland, just a short drive from the south shores of Lake Windermere. Our unbeatable location makes us the ideal base for discovering everything from the Lake District's best walking routes to top family-friendly attractions. And with a choice of spacious, modern lodges to choose from - some of which are dog-friendly and have their own private gardens - you're guaranteed to find your perfect escape.
Handy for the Motorway, the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. The Park is fairly flat in its layout. Windermere is a short journey at 8.8 miles.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Newby Bridge Caravan Park by bus and train.
The Nearest bus stop would be outside the Newby Bridge Hotel. This will take you to Windermere, Kendal or Barrow. From Windermere you could get the train to Kendal. The bus stop is 0.8 miles / 1.3 km from Newby Bridge Caravan Park.
The nearest train station is Grange. The train station is 6.2 miles / 10.0 km from Newby Bridge Caravan Park.

Grange train station would take you to Barrow going north or Arndale, Lancaster going south.

There is a carpark at Grange station.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Windermere Taxis by calling 01539442355. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The path is sloped.
The route is 890mm wide, or more.

Newby Bridge is a fairly level Park however, there is a slope down to Reception.

Reception Newby Bridge Caravan Park

From the main entrance to reception, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The door is 1400mm wide.
The check-in desk has a low section for wheelchair users. You can sit down at reception.

Newby Bridge Laundry

From the main entrance to the laundry, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1400mm wide, or more. The door is 1400mm wide.
We have an iron and ironing board. You can use the ironing board sitting down.

Shop

Shop within the petrol station 800 metres

From the main entrance to the shop, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1800mm wide, or more. The door is 1800mm wide.
The route through the shop is 800mm wide, or more.

The shop is off Park, however, it is just 800 metres and sells a selection of groceries, there is also a Greggs Bakery in the shop.

Getting around outside

Laundry

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 900mm wide, or more. The entrance is 900mm wide.

Accessibility equipment

We have ab accessible accomodation with a hoist, spacious bedroom, wide doors and a corridor.
Also a low level kitchen and an accessible walk in shower room and arms for the WC.
