Welcome

Morag's Lodge is a 4-star hostel, situated in the small village of Fort Augustus on the banks of Loch Ness. The hostel boasts a fun and friendly atmosphere, providing "Highland hospitality at its best."

Morag's lodge has many communal areas, including a sun lounge, dining room and an onsite bar. Guests have 24-hour access to a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, with free tea and coffee provided. All facilities are on the ground floor.

We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Morag's Lodge by bus.
The nearest bus stop is 300m from the hostel. The bus stop is 0.2 miles / 0.3 km from Morag's Lodge.

From the bus stop (beside the main carpark) follow the road towards Inverness. Turn left up the steep hill and follow the road, Morag's Lodge is the 4th drive on the left.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.

You can sit down at reception.

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are energy saving. All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
From the main entrance to this area, there is level access.

Accessible bedrooms

The route to the bedroom is 800mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 900mm wide. There is 2200mm at the side of the bed. The bed is 500mm high. There is 340mm under the bed.
The bedroom is twin. The bathroom is separate. It is not an ensuite.
The bathroom door is 750mm wide.
The bathroom has a separate shower. The shower has a handrail.
The bathroom has a level access shower. The level access shower has handrails.
The toilets have handrails. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the right. There is 800mm at the side of the toilet.
There is 1500mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 480mm high.
The basin is 700mm high. The taps are lever operated. There is no space under the basin.

The beds in the room are bunk beds.

A laundry service is provided, guests do not have access.

The door is 700mm wide.
The work surface is available with clear underspace.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.
From the main entrance to the dining room, there is level access. The door is 900mm wide.

From the main entrance to the public toilet, there is level access. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the right.
