Welcome

Home to Leamington Spa art gallery and museum, Leamington Library, visitor information centre and the Royal Spa Centre’s box office, the building originally contained Royal Leamington Spa’s finest Baths and Assembly rooms. It was redeveloped in the late 1990s. 

It is situated at the southern end of the Pump room gardens opposite Jephson gardens at the bottom of the parade.

Most recently, Warwick District council has taken over the running of the previously outsourced Assembly Room and Annexe. This is a concert-hall and conservatory space, which houses a small stage and a breakaway bar area. This space has a number of smaller community events throughout the year, some of them on a regular basis.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum by bus and train.
The nearest bus stop is on The Parade, in the centre of Leamington Spa. The bus stop is 0.5 miles / 0.8 km from Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum.
The nearest train station is Royal Leamington Spa Train Station. The train station is 0.4 miles / 0.6 km from Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum.

If arriving by train, the Royal Pump Rooms is 10 minutes’ walk from Leamington Spa Railway Station. There are direct services from London Marylebone, Birmingham, Oxford and Coventry.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Regent Taxis by calling 01926 270380. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.

There is a drop-off and pick up layby on the same side of the road as the venue. This may accommodate up to three vehicles.

Main entrance

The main entrance has level access.
The door is 2300mm wide.
The main door is side hung and manual.
The main door is sliding and automatic.

The main entrance consists of two types of door - one that is automatic and semicircular and another side-hung door to the left and right of the automatic doors.

Getting around inside

We have high colour contrast between walls and doorframes.

You can get a lift to all floors.

Museum Lift

The lift is a chairlift.
The lift is 990mm wide. The lift is 790mm deep.

The lift is a chairlift.
The lift is 860mm wide. The lift is 1350mm deep.

Ticket/ information desk

Box Office & Visitor information desk

From the main entrance to the desk, there is level access. The route is 790mm wide, or more.
The desk has a low section.

The Box Office Desk and Visitor information desk is approximately 9200mm from the main entrance to the venue. 

The height of the lowest section of the desk is 730mm in height. 

The low section of the desk is 835mm in height.

the highest part of the desk is 1200mm.

The Art Gallery

Public toilet

There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
You need a RADAR key to open the public toilet.
From the main entrance to the public toilet, there is level access. The route is 790mm wide, or more.
The toilet door is 920mm wide.
The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the front only.
There is 1150mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 480mm high. The toilets have handrails.

There is green space directly outside of the venue. Jephson gardens is also across the main road from the venue.
