Welcome
The Eildon Holiday Cottages are a converted eighteenth century farm steading forming six self-catering cottages, five of which are wheelchair accessible. Langrig is a three bedroom cottage that sleeps up to 6 people.
There is a double or twin bedroom on the ground floor (or up to 2 electric profiling beds) with an en-suite wet room shower. The bed in this room is height adjustable. There are two twin bedrooms and a seperate bathroom on the first floor. It is cosy, warm, well equipped and fully adaptated to ensure accessibility for disabled and less able visitors.
Situated just outside Melrose it boasts magnificent views over the Tweed Valley and surrounding countryside.

The fully equipt kitchen is fully adapted for wheelchair users, including lower work surfaces with space underneath and units that are on wheels.

Getting around outside
There are open garden areas around the cottage with grass lawned areas and paths which are wheelchair accessible. There are picnic benches, bench seats, bird feeders and BBQs .

We have a range of equipment available to use (additional hire charge for some) as follows: Ceiling Tracking Hoist (Spectra), Portable hoist (electric or manual), raised toilet seat, adjustable bed height, pressure relieving mattresses, cot sides, loop handled bed stick, stand-aid, shower/toilet chairs (with or without wheels), commode

Emergency evacuation procedures
All cottages have been inspected by the Fire Service (2017) and comply with Fire Safety Regulations. There are mains wired smoke and heat detectors fitted for early fire detection. Evacuation is via the front door of each cottage for wheelchair users
Customer care support
The Proprietor, Rob Martin, lives on site and will visit guests after their arrival to make sure they have everything they need and know how everything works. After that he is contactable by telephone if required and is always happy to help wherever possible.
