Travel by public transport
The Inn on the Moor Hotel is situated in Goathland, accessible from the A169 Whitby to Pickering Road. The Hotel itself is set back from the main road, opposite The Goathland Hotel, only 150 yards from Goathland Railway Station.
When travelling to The Inn on the Moor Hotel we recommend you treat your Sat-Nav or Google Maps Directions with caution as the postcode can sometimes lead customers and guests down 'The Mill Green Way' and to the back of the property. We advise remaining on the main village road until you reach the Goathland Hotel and you will find The Inn on the Moor Hotel directly opposite.

Path to main entrance
There are two entrances to the hotel. At the front of the hotel on the right, there is a door which leads to the reception area. This has an internal door which has a 50mm threshold over the entrance. The doorway to the left of the conservatory is the bar entrance and is 1400mm wide. This has a level threshold and leads to further door which is 750mm wide and gives access through the bar to the hotel reception. It is therefore advisable for wheelchair users to enter the hotel through the bar entrance.
For visitors requiring additional space to access the hotel, staff are able to open the adjacent conservatory doors to provide a wider route of 1400mm into the reception area.
Getting around inside
There is a lowered counter at the main reception desk.
Accessible bedroom Accessible bedroom with wheelchair accessible, en-suite wet room
This beautiful en-suite bathroom, designed by Motionspot, has relatively narrow dimensions, but the innovative products provided maximise the space. The sink has integral holes for gripping and grab rails can be added or removed from the wet room to suit individual visitor requirements. There is also a glass shower screen which folds completely back to provide maximum space.
Accessible bedroom Accessible bedroom with smaller en-suite wetroom
The en-suite wetroom within this bedroom has smaller dimensions than our other accessible bedroom and therefore may not be suitable for guests who are permanent wheelchair users.
There are double doors with a width of 1400mm which lead into the conservatory area which can be opened on request to provide wider access into the hotel reception and lounge area.
The Hydro Bar
On the ground floor of the hotel there is an open plan lounge, bar and reception area. The bar offers a wide selection of drinks as well as bar food which visitors can enjoy in relaxed and comfortable surroundings. Also within this space is a games area with pool table, dart board and plasma screen tv.
There are numerous dog beds around the hotel, to ensure that our four legged friends also have a relaxed stay.
The sink is at a height of 700mm and there are lever operated taps together with an electric hand dryer. This facility also houses a baby changing trolley.
