Welcome

Foresters Lodge is an large detached estate property, recalling its traditional working heritage with the Nevis Forest. The property is located immediately before the entrance to our Touring Park and campsite, on the right hand side of the road. It enjoys an ample yet private aspect in its own gardens and drive, bounded by a mature beech hedge yet enjoying views up to the mountain. There is also a garage adjoining the house for guests to park their car if they wish. Accommodation is on one level with three bedrooms (one double and two twin) one family bathroom and 2 further shower rooms plus a rear entrance and cloak hall.  All towels and bed linen are included. Wifi is included.

The main entrance has 3 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.

Travel by public transport

Main transport is by guests' own vehicles. The nearest bus stop is 0.5 miles from the property, stopping at the Glen Nevis Youth Hostel and right next to the Self Catering Reception Office 

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Ace Taxis by calling 01397 704400 . The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the parking to the main entrance, there are 3 steps. There is no ramp and no lift.

From the street to the main entrance, there are 3 steps. There is no ramp and no lift.

Main entrance

The door is 820mm wide.
The main entrance has 3 steps.
The main door is side hung and manual.

There is also a rear entrance door to an inner cloak room and access is via 3 steps

Getting around inside

Self Catering Reception Office

From the main entrance to reception, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The door is 850mm wide.
The check-in desk has a low section for wheelchair users. You can sit down at reception.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, wall lights, desk or table lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are energy saving. TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
All bedding is Hypoallergenic and We can give details of our cleaning products on request

The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the left and right.

Self catering kitchen

Foresters Lodge Kitchen

We have a separate kitchen and dining room. From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access.
The route is 1640mm wide, or more.
The door is 700mm wide.
From the main entrance to the dining room, there is level access. The route is 1100mm wide, or more. The door is 700mm wide.

There is a door from the main inner hallway on the LHS to the Dining Lounge. There is a separate door from the Dining Lounge to both another hall which leads to the main double bedroom and shower room, and a separate door of wood and glass leading to the kitchen. There is a also a rear entrance door into the kicthen from the second hallway and closkroom at the rear of the property.

From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access. The route is 1100mm wide, or more. The door is 700mm wide.

Rear Entrance Hall and Cloakroom

From the main entrance to this area, there are 3 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.

3 external steps access the rear entrance door into the Cloak hall then a further step leads to the rear entrance hall which accesses the kitchen the 2nd shower room and the boiler room.

Getting around outside

Foresters Lodge front and rear garden

From the main entrance to the gardens, there are 3 steps. There is no lift and no ramp.

The Lodge is situated within it's own drive and gardens, bounded on all sides by a mature beech hedge. There are genrous gardens and flower beds to the front of the property and a large lawned area plus level decking to the rear of the property. There is a large driveway to accommodate several cars to the side of the property. A further level gravelled path connects the front and rear gardens at the other side of the property.

Customer care support

Accessibility equipment

Lochaber Action on Disability and Shopmobility Lochaber provide a good range of mobility equipment available for loan or hire. Guests will need to organise their equipment requirements directly with these service providers. We can store equipment at our Reception Office for collection or place it in your unit for your arrival. For a list of items please go to www.lad.org.uk

Due to our rural location there are numerous green areas for assistance dogs to use. Our nearby caravan and camping park also has two dedicated dog exercise areas.
