Welcome
Fitzwilliam is one of the University of Cambridge’s 31 colleges. Our buildings have won many architecture awards. The Hall Building and Dining Hall were designed by Sir Denys Lasdun. Other buildings of note include the Auditorium, the Chapel (which is designed to suggest a floating ship) and the Olisa Library. The Grove, a lovely Regency house which once belonged to Emma Darwin, also sits within our grounds. Fitzwilliam is a thriving community of around 430 undergraduates, 320 graduates, 60 Fellows and over 100 staff.
Our flexible meeting rooms, cosy bedrooms, great food, and excellent service mean you can relax and enjoy your time at Fitz.

Getting here
Travel by public transport
There are two train stations in Cambridge. The closest train station to the College is Cambridge station. There is a taxi rank outside the station, from which you can take a taxi from the station to the College which takes around 10 – 15 minutes depending on traffic.
The Universal 'U' bus runs directly from the train station to Madingley Road (a 5 minute walk to College). Timetables can be found on Go Whippet website.

Parking
There are two car parks at the College: at the Main Entrance, located off Storey's Way (from Madingley Road) and at the back of the College, off Huntingdon Road. There are designated Blue Badge Holder spaces available at both. Parking is on a first-come-first-served basis.
Both car parks can be pulled into to facilitate drop off/pick ups, but we would recommend using the main entrance off Storey's Way as this is where our Porter's Lodge is located.
