The bus is the recommended way of transport as it stops closer to the iCentre. The walk from the train station or the tram stop can be quite challenging for people with mobility issues as it consists in steep streets which are covered partly by cobblestones.

Due to ongoing building repairs, we currently have temporary scaffolding outside the main entrance to the iCentre.
The lift has been designed to function both as an ordinary staircase and as a wheelchair lift.
Operating the lifting platform is done using the up/down buttons fitted on the stair walls/rails.
To raise the platform, push and hold the up button until the platform stops and any ramp/barriers are open.
To lower the platform, push and hold the down button until the platform stops and any doors/barriers are open.
The push buttons are to be held down for the entire movement.
Maximum weight capacity for this lift is 400kg

Edinburgh iCentre is registered with the Welcome by Neatebox app. This allows visitors who have accessibility requirements to request a visit to the iCentre. This request indicates to our staff if there are any specific requirements needed in order for the visitor to have a pleasant customer experience.
