Dingle Marshes is an enticing mix of habitats that include freshwater reedbed, shingle, coastal grazing marsh and saline lagoons. They attract a wide variety of wildlife. So listen for booming bitterns. Watch for skydancing marsh harriers. Or marvel at yellow-horned poppy and sea kale under the wide Suffolk skies.

The nearest train station is Darsham (approx 6 miles).
Dingle Marshes can be accessed on foot from Walberswick village (or from Southwold via the seasonal foot ferry).

You can use Suffolk Link, a demand-responsive bus that can collect you from Leiston, Saxmundham and surrounding villages. This must be booked in advance by calling 01728 833526.

Dingle Track
- The Dingle Track leads from Dunwich to the saltmarsh and eventually to the beach, or on to Walberswick. It is a rough track with loose gravel and some sloping sections.
- Wheelchair access is possible with difficulty on some sections of the nature trail. Wheelchair access not advised on shingle sections.
- There is a network of public and permissive paths but no seating.
- 4.5 mile (6 km) circular walk from the Dunwich beach car park. Crosses shingle ridge, marshes and track through the edge of Dunwich Forest. The terrain is rough in places and the access along the shore is on shingle.
