Welcome

We are a Visit England 4 star Bed & Breakfast, situated in the village of Parkend in the heart of the Forest of Dean. 

We have 6 en-suite bedrooms here - 3 doubles, 2 king and 1 superking which can all aslo be let as single occupancy. 

The house is perfectly situated, surrounded by cycle & walking trails and the Nagshead RSPB Nature Reserve, our reviews say we are a perfect base for cycling and walking holidays.

Picturesque Parkend village has a Post Office, cafe’s, cricket green, pubs with restaurants, shops, an Inn and cycle hire.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Deanfield by bus and train.
The nearest bus stop is outside the property on the pavement and the nearest main train station is Lydney which is approximately 4 miles away. The bus stop is 0 miles / 0.0 km from Deanfield.
The nearest train station is Lydney. The train station is 4 miles / 6.4 km from Deanfield.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with CDS by calling 01594834583. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access.

The property has enclosed, well lit, parking for all guests and there is one step up to the entrance. There is a small slope up to the car park where you drive into, but once parked it is flat until the main ebtrance where there is one step into the property.

We are unable to accommodate guests who are confined to wheelchairs due to restrictions of space at the entrance and also in the hallway.

Bedrooms have ceiling lights, wall lights, bedside lamps, desk or table lamps and natural daylight.

All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
No bedrooms have level access. The bedroom nearest the main entrance has 1 steps.
All bedrooms are ensuite.
We have bathrooms with a separate shower.
Some showers have a seat.

We have bathrooms with a bath and overhead shower. The shower has a handrail.

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. The route is 750mm wide, or more. The door is 750mm wide.
To get to a table, there are no steps.
There is no background music.
We cater for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free), nut free, low fat, low potassium, low sodium, no gastric content, high fibre, vegan and kosher specific diets.
