Welcome

Dalby The Great Yorkshire Forest offers over 8,000 acres of woodland to explore and enjoy, including inspiring play areas for children, family picnic and BBQ areas and planty of waymarked trails for all abilities.

The main entrance has level access.

There is level access from the main entrance to:

Visitor Centre, Ellerburn, Low Dalby HubVisitor Centre external area

Travel by public transport

You can get to Dalby Forest by bus.
Nearest bus stop located on Whitby Gate for the regular Coastliner bus service. Moorbus will stop within the forest at the Visitor Centre. The bus stop is 2.5 miles / 4.0 km from Dalby Forest.

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. Parking is not free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. The route is 2000mm wide, or more.
We have a transport service, to take visitors from the car park to the main entrance.

Visitor Centre, Ellerburn, Low Dalby Hub

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. The route is 2000mm wide, or more. The door is 1500mm wide.
Some display information is low, for wheelchair users. There are seats.
There is a hearing loop.

Getting around outside

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access.

Outdoor seating area outside Visitor Centre cafe. Play area that is accessible.

Courtyard external seating outside the cafe.

Some trails on site are accessible - please ask for further information.

2 mobility scooter for hire. Contact 01751 460295 to book.

We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.
