Welcome

Pine Cottage (pet friendly)  is part of a 5 cottage complex at Culmore Bridge Cottages set in 9 Acres of peaceful woodlands. Close to the Sea and beautiful Sandhead beach in the lovely Rhins of Galloway, These fully accessible cottages provide ideal family or group holidays.Pine is a spacious comfortable 3 Bedroom cottage which sleeps 6 people has a bathroom and a wet room and lovely decking area to allow you to sit out and enjoy the surroundings.The cottage is set amongst carefully planned paths ideal for bicycles, Wheelchairs and Pushchairs. This cottage is ideally situated in the Rhins of Galloway to allow you to enjoy the local villages, coastline and the  beaches which are easily accessed.

The main entrance has level access. The ramp is permanent.

We have non-allergic bedding.
We have a portable hoist.

The route to the bedroom is 750mm wide, or more.
The bedroom door is 750mm wide, or more.
There is unobstructed floor space 1200mm by 900mm, or more.
The bathroom has a level access shower.

Hearing

Some (bedroom) TVs have subtitles.
Some staff have disability awareness training.

General

There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
Staff are available 24 hours a day.
Some staff have disability awareness training.
We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with McCleans Taxi by calling 01776705555. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

We can arrange a transfer service if booked in advance

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is not free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The path is sloped.
The route is 1250mm wide, or more.

The main door is side hung and manual.

Getting around inside

Information Office

From the main entrance to reception, there is level access. The door is 800mm wide.
The check-in desk has a low section for wheelchair users. You can sit down at reception.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, wall lights, bedside lamps, desk or table lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED, energy saving and traditional filament. Some TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
Pine is one of our Pet Friendly Cottages you may prefer to look at Willow which is a pet free cottage. We can also give details of our cleaning products.
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.
We have bed blocks.
We have a portable hoist.
The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the left and right.

From the main entrance to the bedroom, there is level access. There is a ramp. The ramp is Permanent.
The route to the bedroom is 800mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 800mm wide. There is a low clothes rail. You can use the rail sitting down.
The bedroom is flexible (either double or twin). The bathroom is ensuite. The bathroom door is 800mm wide.
The bathroom has a separate shower. The shower has a seat. The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower. The shower has a handrail. The bathroom has a level access shower. There is a shower chair available. The level access shower has handrails.
The toilets have handrails. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the left and right. The taps are lever operated. There is space under the basin, with no pedestal or boxing.

From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access.

The work surface is available with clear underspace and available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The hob is available with clear underspace and available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The sink is available with clear underspace and available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The oven is available with clear underspace and available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
