Welcome to Copper Beech Lodge

Copper Beech is a 2 bedroom (sleeping 4), pet friendly lodge with private hot tub and is located 5 miles from Cupar in Fife at Balmeadowside Country Lodges and Cottages. Balmeadowside is set on the south facing slopes of a working farm with amazing views of the Fife countryside.

Copper Beech Lodge is all on one level and has;

Master bedroom with Kingsize bed.

Second bedroom with twin beds

Bathroom fully tiled with bath and shower over (linen and towels provided)

Spacious living area with TV/DVD and iPod dock. WiFi

Open-plan dining area and fully equipped kitchen, underfloor heating

Patio doors opening on to decking area with outdoor furniture and hot tub

Level access

The main entrance has level access. The ramp is permanent.

Travel by public transport

The closet train station to Balmeadowside Country Lodges and Cottages is Cupar which is 5.4miles (12min drive away).

We do not recommend getting a bus here as the closet bus stop is 10 minutes’ walk, at a moderate pace, and up a steep farm track

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Town & County Taxi's by calling 01334 840 444. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.

There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.

From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking

Please go straight to your lodge, which is clearly signposted, and your key will be in your door

If you wish for someone to meet you at the property for a familiarisation tour please contact us in advance and we can arrange this between the hours of 2pm to 5pm

Copper Beech has its own private parking space situated directly outside the lodge at the bottom of the ramp

The patio doors have a lip, if you require a threshold ramp please advise us in advance and we will have this ready for your arrival

There is outdoor lighting which starts at the ramp and carries on to the patio doors

There is wood decking to the outside of the property which leads to laminate flooring upon entering through the patio doors

Getting around inside

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.

Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.

Lights are LED. TVs have subtitles.

All bedrooms are non-smoking.

We have non-allergic bedding.

No bedrooms have fitted carpets.

We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.

The route to the bedroom is 800mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 800mm wide. There is 700mm at the side of the bed. The bed is 710mm high. There is 0mm under the bed.

The bedroom is double. The bathroom is separate. It is not an ensuite.

The bathroom door is 800mm wide.

The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower. The shower has a handrail. There is a shower chair available. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the front only. The toilet seat is 430mm high.

The basin is 830mm high. The taps are lever operated. There is no space under the basin.

Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas - All rooms are on one level

Bedrooms have laminate flooring. The master bedroom has a rug at the foot of the bed which can be removed.

Door opening to both bedrooms are 800mm (31.5 inches) wide

Master bedroom has kingsize bed with narrowest point at side of bed to wall 700mm and widest at side of bed to wall 800mm

Second bedroom has two single beds with space of 450mm between the beds and 1500mm from the bottom of beds to the wall

All beds are 710mm high

Lighting is natural by daylight with large windows in both bedrooms. By night there is overhead lighting. The master bedroom has 2 bedside lamps. The second bedroom has one bedside lamp situated between the single beds.

There are full length mirrored sliding wardrobes to both bedrooms with fixed full length hanging and shelves to the bottom

Bathrooms, Shower-rooms and Toilets - Level access from all rooms in the lodge

Door opening is 800mm (31.5 inches) wide

Bath with shower over. Bath taps are lever handles

WC from floor to seat is 430mm

Pedestal sink is 830mm high. Tap is single mixer lever handles.

Natural lighting comes from small window. Ceiling lighting

We have an open plan kitchen.

From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access.

The route is 3000mm wide, or more.

The kitchen is open plan and on one level next to the dining area and lounge

The flooring is laminate

There is a base unit oven with a drop down opening

The hob is situated above the oven at worktop level (920mm high) and is electric

All worktops are 920mm high with a undermount single bowl, single drainer sink and single mixer lever tap

Lighting is natural by daylight with large windows throughout the kitchen/dining/lounge area as well as lighting coming from the patio doors. By night there is overhead lighting

Dining Room

The dining area is open plan and one level next to the kitchen and lounge

The flooring is laminate

The dining table is 650mm from the floor to the lowest point of the table

There are 6 chairs with padded seats and no arms

The furniture can be moved

Lighting is natural by daylight with large windows in the lounge area as well as lighting coming from the patio doors. By night there is overhead lighting

Sitting Room/Lounge

The sitting room is open plan and one level next to the dining area and kitchen

The flooring is laminate

The room has a fixed corner digital television with remote and a DVD player

The furniture includes a low level coffee table, 2 seat sofa and two 1 seated sofa's

The furniture can be moved

Lighting is natural by daylight with large windows in the lounge area as well as lighting coming from the patio doors. By night there is overhead lighting and corner floor lamp

Assistant dogs are welcomed to Copper Beech Lodge There are many walks at Balmeadowside which are clearly marked and descriptions of these can be found in your welcome pack All we ask is your dog is kept on the lead whilst on site and is picked up after There is a lockable gate to the lodge, making it secure

We have an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.

Mobility Scooters and Battery Powered Wheelchairs can be charged in the lodge, there is plenty of room in the open plan living area
