Welcome

The Coll Hotel is a family owned and run island hotel.

With  the completion of a two year extension and refurbishment project we are delighted to be fully accessible. 
We are a crucial part of the island community, supporting island businesses and suppliers, this is reflected in our enthusiastic staff team and our delicious, tempting menus. Our beautiful garden is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink whilst taking in the stunning bay views.

Our 10 bedrooms are all en suite and furnished to a very high level with all expected facilities with a few extra Coll Hotel touches.1st floor bedrooms are traditional, our ground floor rooms are modern and spacious.

The (bedroom) TVs have subtitles.

The walls and the doors have high colour contrast.
Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

General

There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
Staff are available 24 hours a day.
We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Coll Hotel by boat or ferry.
The nearest port is Coll Pier. The port is 1 miles / 1.6 km from Coll Hotel.

Follow the only road from the pier and you will see the hotel at the head of the bay

Travel by taxi

We have a transfer service for visitors. Wheelchair users can use the transfer service.

We do not have an adapted hotel vehicle but will do all we can to help you

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. The route is 200mm wide, or more.
We have a transport service, to take visitors from the car park to the main entrance.

Drive over our cattle grid to the hotel entrance. The accessible parking bay is to the right of the cattle grid and entrance. It is all perfectly flat

Getting around inside

We have contrast markings on all glass doors and high colour contrast between walls and doorframes.
Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

The entrance and the reception are the same place. Seating and a low table can be provided if needed

Bedrooms

Most bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, wall lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are halogen, LED and energy saving. TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
Some bedrooms have fitted carpets.
Any information can be given on request
We can move the bedroom furniture, to improve accessibility.

The bathroom has a separate shower. The shower has a seat. The shower has a handrail.
The bathroom has a level access shower. There is a shower chair available. The level access shower has handrails.
The toilets have handrails. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the left and right. There is 300mm at the side of the toilet.
There is 200mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 420mm high.
The basin is 720mm high. The taps are lever operated. There is space under the basin, with no pedestal or boxing.
The bathroom has an emergency call system.

Restaurant

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. The route is 970mm wide, or more. The door is 970mm wide.
To get to a table, there are no steps.
The route through the dining area is 800mm wide, or more.
There is no background music.
We cater for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free), nut free, low fat, low sodium and vegan specific diets.

All meals are cooked from scratch on the premises. Arrangements ahead can facilitate most diets
