Coastal Cabins Glamping is the perfect setting for a relaxing break away from all the stresses of life.
It's Glamping at its finest. These wooden cabins feature kingsize beds for the grown ups, bunk beds for the kids, kitchenettes, en-suite shower rooms and individual decking areas. You can experience a weekend with nature without giving up life’s luxuries.
There’s plenty to do, from cooking up a feast in the BBQ cabin, to soaking in the exclusive ‘Wild Spa’ hot tub area, or fishing in the lake. Coastal Cabins in North Devon is nestled in between the breathtaking coastline and the pretty village of Hartland. With just a 1.25 miles walk to either, it’s the perfect location.
Travel by public transport
If you do wish to use public transport then the nearest train station to Coastal Cabins is Barnstaple (24 miles away), however train routes and connections often make Tiverton Parkway a more convenient station, though it is 59 miles away. If coming from Barnstaple the Stagecoach South West number 319 bus stops by the primary school in Hartland. You would then need to walk 1.2 miles from there to Coastal Cabins.
Travel by taxi
There are no Taxi companies in our local village of Hartland. If you need a Taxi you will need to hire one from either Bideford or Bude. These towns are 15 miles away so even a short journey can be very expensive. We also recommend booking in advance.
All of our cabins are on a flat site with gravel path access. Our car park is in an adjacent field with Hartland Quay (Couples Cabin) and Welcombe Mouth (Family Cabin) being closes to the car park and therefore the most accessible.
Path to main entrance
All 10 cabins are the same in layout and size. Access to all is via a flat gravel path. There is a small step up to the decking in front of each cabin, however once inside the cabins there are no steps. If you are unsure about access then please do ask us to recommend which cabin would be best for your needs. You are welcome to request a specific cabin for your stay.

Self catering kitchen
All cabins have the same kitchenette
To the other side of the cabin there is also a kitchenette with electric hob, oven, sink, fridge and all cutlery and essential kitchen equipment.

The cabin is open plan so the entrance to the cabin goes straight into the lounge/living area.
Getting around outside
There is also our Wild Spa hot tub area. This is an adults only facility. The sun loungers and chairs are on a level gravel area. The hot tub is on a deck with a small step up for access. The Hot Tub itself is above ground and is accessed via a set of 3 steps. This is an outdoor area with no shelter.
On site we have a communal BBQ cabin. There is a small step up onto the deck area and also on the threshold of the cabin. Once inside there are no steps. There is seating all around the sides of the BBQ cabin and the BBQ is at an accessible seated height in the centre.
There is a fishing lake on site. It is free to use for all our guests. Around the lake is a grass path. There are no steps but there are undulations on the path. There is a large fence around the lake for safety with access through a gate with a latch. There is also a life buoy located by the entrance to the lake.
