Welcome

This beautiful 241 year old crofters cottage is on the stunning shores of the Isle of Skye. It is a shorefront property, with private sea access and uninterrupted views of the mountains, forests and islands across the sea. Carnmhor has recently been fully refurbished to a high standard creating superb accommodation to maximise the guest' experience -  in an amazing prime location. An excellent base for those wishing to explore the amazing scenery, wildlife, bars, restaurants and adventure the Isle of Skye has to offer, and just one mile from the town of Broadford for all amenities.

Canmhor offers the absolute perfect balance of remoteness, wildlife, adventure and accessibility to all amenities.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Carnmhor, Isle of Skye by bus, train and boat or ferry.
Bus stop is one mile away, at the end of the road. The bus stop is 1 miles / 1.6 km from Carnmhor, Isle of Skye.
The nearest train station is Kyle of Lochalsh. The train station is 8 miles / 12.9 km from Carnmhor, Isle of Skye.
The nearest port is Armadale. The port is 15 miles / 24.2 km from Carnmhor, Isle of Skye.

The nearest Bus stop is one mile away, at the end of the road.

Nearest train station is Kyle of Lochalsh, 8 miles away (bus or taxi option from that station to teh cottage).

The cottage and Island is accessible via car from the free Skye bridge (no toll) which is 7 miles away.

The cottage and Island is accessible by ferry from Mallaig to Armadale OR Glenelg to Kylerhea.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Gus's Taxis by calling 01478 613000. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
We have a transfer service for visitors.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The path is sloped.

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED. TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.

We have bathrooms with a bath and overhead shower. We have bathrooms with a bath.
The walls and the fittings have high colour contrast.
The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the left and right.

We have a separate kitchen and dining room. The work surface is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
