Uncover a world of chocolate delights and enjoy a fascinating, fun-packed day out at Cadbury World!

Discover the origins of the cocoa bean amidst trees and waterfalls in the Aztec Jungle, before jumping on board the magical Cadabra ride and visiting the 4D Chocolate Adventure zone. You'll doodle with chocolate before adding your favourite treat to a delicious pot of warm liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk. 

A visit to Cadbury World is not a factory tour. Instead, you'll discover the history, the making and the magic of Cadbury confectionery as you journey through our chocolatey zones.

With an assortment of chocolatey zones, there's something for everyone!

Level access

The main entrance has level access. The ramp is permanent.

The fire alarm has flashing lights.
We have a hearing loop in At reception, in the shop and in selected zones in the exhibition and Wheelchairs are provided subject to availability.
Some staff have disability awareness, BSL and Next Generation Text training.

Visual

Glass doors and full-height windows have contrast markings.
Some parts of the venue have low lighting.
We have display information in audio, BSL and large print.

General

We have a complimentary ticket policy for personal assistants.
There is a public toilet for disabled visitors. The toilet is a Changing Places toilet.
Some staff have disability awareness training.
We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Cadbury World by bus and train.
There is a bus stop located on Linden Road at the end of the Cadbury World drive. The bus stop is 0.5 miles / 0.8 km from Cadbury World.
The nearest train station is Bournville. The train station is 0.8 miles / 1.3 km from Cadbury World.

Cadbury World is a fifteen minute stroll from Bournville Station (Bournville train station has wheelchair access). The visitor centre is fully signposted so please follow the Cadbury World fingerposts and wall-signs to direct you through the Cadbury grounds.

Bournville station is served by the Cross-City Line (southern section), from Birmingham New Street station. Tickets are available from all stations.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with A Cars by calling 0121 458 3000. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
The route is 2370mm wide, or more.

The main door is sliding and automatic.

There are three automatic doors into the main reception area at Cadbury World.

Getting around inside

We have contrast markings on all glass doors and contrast markings on all full-height windows.
Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

Lift

We have 1 lift.
You can get a lift to all floors.

Exhibition lift

The lift door is 800mm wide.
The lift is 1100mm wide. The lift is 1400mm deep.
The lift says the floor number at each floor.
The lift buttons have raised numbers or letters.
The lift shows the floor number, at each floor.

Ticket/ information desk

Reception

From the main entrance to the desk, there is level access. The desk has a low section.

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a lift.
From the lift to this area, the route is 800mm wide, or more. The door is 1180mm wide.

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. The route is 1420mm wide, or more. Some display information is low, for wheelchair users. Some displays have flashing lights.

The Green Screen Zone uses a camera flash.

Cadabra

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 980mm wide, or more. The door is 980mm wide.
Some display information is low, for wheelchair users. There are seats.

The Cadabra Zone is a short car ride. There is a specially adapted car suitable for wheelchair users. Staff are trained in how to get wheelchair users off the ride safely in case of an emergency evacuation. You will have your photo taken during this ride where flash photography is used.

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a lift.
From the lift to this area, the route is 800mm wide, or more. The door is 1370mm wide.
Some display information is low, for wheelchair users. There are seats.

There is a small, red flashing light behind the serving area.

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1660mm wide, or more. The door is 1660mm wide.

4D Chocolate Adventure

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 880mm wide, or more. The door is 880mm wide.
Some display information is low, for wheelchair users. There are seats.
There is a hearing loop.

The 4D cinema may not be suitable for adults or children who are easily startled by sudden movement, motion effects, loud music, or periods of darkness. It is not suitable for pregnant women or guests with heart conditions or spinal conditions due to motion effects used in the pre-show and 4D cinema. There are two wheelchair spaces in the 4D cinema and also static (non-moving) chairs are available.

The toilet is a Changing Places toilet.
You need a RADAR key to open the public toilet.
From the main entrance to the public toilet, there is level access. The toilet door is 800mm wide.

There is 1600mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 510mm high. The toilets have handrails.

The Cadbury Cafe

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. To get to a table, there are no steps.
If you need table service, staff can help you.
The route through the dining area is 800mm wide, or more.
There is background music.
We cater for vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free) and vegan specific diets.

The Factory Trail

The trail is 2414metres long. The trail has a hard surface. There are cycle barriers at the beginning of The Birdcage walk. The trail is sloped.

From the car park to the picnic area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. Some tables have space for wheelchair users. You can bring your own food to the picnic area.

From the main entrance to the smoking area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1450mm wide, or more.
The entrance is 1000mm wide.

Customer care support

We provide wheelchairs. Wheelchairs are free.
We have a hearing loop in At reception, in the shop and in selected zones in the exhibition and Wheelchairs are provided subject to availability.

We also offer a Changing Places facility with hoist, height adjustable changing bench and sink, and centrally placed toilet.
