Welcome

Bradley Hall Rural Escapes is set on a working farm in rural Cheshire on the Shropshire/Wales borders, a mile out of Malpas.

It consists of 4 fully contained glamping pods, set in a wildflower meadow. Meadowsweet pod is wheelchair accessible and a well-behaved dog is allowed in here.

Each fully heated pod has a double bed, sofa bed, fold up table & chairs, T.V, en-suite with shower & heated towel rail, kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery and other kitchen essentials. Outside, on the private patio area is a garden table, chairs & barbeque.

All bed linen & towels are provided along with a complimentary welcome pack.

The main entrance has level access. There is a portable ramp.

We have non-allergic bedding.

The route to the bedroom is 750mm wide, or more.
The bedroom door is 750mm wide, or more.
There is unobstructed floor space 1200mm by 900mm, or more.

Hearing

Some (bedroom) TVs have subtitles.

Visual

Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

General

Staff are available 24 hours a day.

Travel by public transport

As we are rural, you would ideally need a car.

There is a railway station at Whitchurch and then a taxi could be used.

There is no bus route that passes here.

 

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Taylors Private Hire by calling 07397 269723. The taxi company has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access.

There is a large, private car park with plenty of space.

The car park is on a level with gate leading to the pod field. There is a level, slate path that leads from the car park to the pod.

The path is 1750mm wide, or more.

The main entrance has level access.
There is a portable ramp.
The door is 1150mm wide.
The main door is side hung and manual.
When you arrive, we can help carry your luggage.
A portable ramp leads up to the double doors.

Getting around inside

Visual Impairment - General Information

Some parts of the venue have low lighting.
LED downlights leading from the car park to the pods.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Lights are LED. Some lights can be controlled independently.
Some TVs have subtitles.
All bedrooms are non-smoking.
We have non-allergic bedding.
No bedrooms have fitted carpets.
We have wi-fi free bedrooms, for visitors with electro-sensitivity.
We use environmentally friendly cleaning products & can give details if required.

Accessible bedrooms

From the main entrance to the bedroom, there is level access. There is a ramp. The ramp is Portable.
The bedroom door is 1150mm wide. The bed is 650mm high. There is 300mm under the bed.
The bedroom is flexible (either double or twin). The bathroom is ensuite. The bathroom door is 800mm wide.
The bathroom has a separate shower. The shower has a seat. The shower has a handrail.
The toilets have handrails. The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the right. There is 800mm at the side of the toilet.
There is 1150mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 480mm high.
The basin is 720mm high. The taps are lever operated. There is space under the basin, with no pedestal or boxing.
The bathroom has an emergency call system.
The walls and the bathroom fittings have high colour contrast.

The shower cubicle has a lip of 90cm

There is space for a portable hoist to fit underneath the bed.

We have an open plan kitchen.
From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access.
The route is 1150mm wide, or more.
The work surface is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The sink is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.

The kitchenette has a sink, fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave & coffee machine, plus crockery, cutlery & basic kitchen essentials.

Lounge

From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access.

Getting around outside

Private patio area

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a portable ramp. The route is 1150mm wide, or more. The entrance is 1150mm wide.

Outside the pod is a private patio area with table and chairs & barrel barbeque.
