Welcome
Welcome to Blackfriars Priory
Blackfriars is a stunning example of a 13th century medieval Priory site, nestled at the heart of the waterside City of Gloucester.
Following renovations, the beautiful historic fabric has been retained and complimented with contemporary design with features such as a full glass wall overlooking the ancient ruin. You can now experience the beauty of this scheduled monument, including the private courtyard garden and the Scriptorium, the oldest and most well preserved, medieval library in Britain. Whether you are booking a wedding, a party or a guided tour, Blackfriars will be the perfect backdrop to make lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come.
