BeWILDerwood Cheshire is a family fun outdoor woodland adventure park.

Level access

The main entrance has level access.

There is level access from the main entrance to:

We have a viewing area for wheelchair users.

Some staff have BSL and disability awareness training.

The walls and the doors have high colour contrast.
Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

We have a complimentary ticket policy for personal assistants.
There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
Some staff have disability awareness training.
We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.

Visual Impairment - General Information

We have high colour contrast between walls and doorframes.
Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

Ticket/ information desk

Grubbles Greeting Gates

From the main entrance to the desk, there is level access. The route is 3444mm wide, or more.
The desk has a low section.

Staff stood at doorway so happy to help all visitors with information and ticketing.

Things to See and Do

We have a complimentary ticket policy for personal assistants.

Spectator/ Audience viewing areas

We have a viewing area for wheelchair users.

Storytelling Stage

From the main entrance to the viewing area, there is level access. The route is 1542 wide, or more. Personal assistants and friends can sit with wheelchair users.
Personal assistants and friends can sit behind wheelchair users.

Outdoor stage and seating area. Wheelchair users can get front row access.

Public toilet

Toilets

There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
From the main entrance to the public toilet, there is level access. The route is 1542mm wide, or more.
The toilet door is 940mm wide.
The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the right.
There is 1828mm at the side of the toilet. There is 2133mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 400mm high. The toilets have handrails.

From the main entrance to the shop, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 3444mm wide, or more.

Munch Bar and Cosy Cabin

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1542mm wide, or more. To get to a table, there are no steps.
The dining area is self-service. If you need table service, staff can help you.
The route through the dining area is 800mm wide, or more.
There is no background music.
We cater for sugar free (diabetic), vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs), lactose free (dairy free), low fat and vegan specific diets.

From the main entrance to the gardens, there is level access.
There is a permanent ramp.
The route is 1524mm wide, or more.

Wide open woodland area. Natural woodland terrain and surfaces.

Designated Walking Trail

Pathways and Trails

The trail has a hard surface. The trail is sloped. The trail has seats.

Designated pathways throughout the woodland. Natural woodland surface, wood chipping or man-made wooden walkway. Given the natural woodland environment, pathways are uneven and sloping in parts. 

Picnic Area

Munch Bar and Cosy Cabin

From the car park to the picnic area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The path is 1542mm wide, or more.
Some tables have space for wheelchair users. You can bring your own food to the picnic area.

Structures - The Broken Bridge, The Mish Mash Maze, The Sky Maze, The Telescope Tower, The Slippery Slopes

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1524mm wide, or more.

These structures may not be suitable for disabled and wheelchair uses due to their stepped access. Some structures require full mobility e.g. slides etc.

Zip Wires

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1524mm wide, or more.

Stepped access up to zip wire platform. All riders must be able to leave the platform and sit unaided to secure themselves.

The Big Hat

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. The route is 1524mm wide, or more.

Arts and craft tent. Uneven access to tent area - woodland terrain.

Storytelling stage

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. The route is 1542mm wide, or more.

Outdoor stage and seating area. Wheelchair users can get front row access.
