Welcome
Nestling in the Mendip hills, one mile from the centre of the cathedral city of Wells, Beryl is a Victorian Country House set in 13 acres of parkland. Within the grounds are finely manicured lawns, carefully tended borders and a Victorian walled garden. Your arrival will be greeted with warmth and courtesy, the epitome of country house hospitality and complementary afternoon tea/coffee and cake awaits you. The Beryl team will do everything we can to accommodate your requirements, within the limits of what this grand old house will allow us!

Getting here
Travel by public transport
The nearest bus station is in Wells, with a local bus stop about 800meters from the property. This stop is at the base of a steep hill that will need to be walked up.
The largest train stations to us are found at Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa. These are about 1 hour drive away. Bus services and taxi stands are avaliable from both train stations.
A smaller train station can be found at Castle Cary, which is a 30 minute drive away. There is no taxi stand or bus stop from Castle Cary to Wells.

Parking
The car park is a loose gravel surface with a smooth slope down into the courtyard. The courtyard can be used for dropping off/picking up, but is otherwise kept clear for emergency vehicles. The courtyard is a level surface that leads straight to a slope to the front door of the property.
