Welcome
Barracks Lane Community Garden is a beautiful green space and eco building at the heart of a vibrant community in Oxford. It is for everyone to use and enjoy by visiting, booking for a private function or by coming along to one of the many events and activities that are held throughout the year.
The Garden Project has charitable status and is run by members of the local community who volunteer their time and expertise. We hope you will feel inspired to come and visit the garden soon.

There are regular bus services to the Cowley Road from Oxford City Centre and Blackbird Leys.

Parking
We encourage people to come on foot or by bicycle if possible, as the road is a quiet and narrow residential road. This allows for people that need to be dropped at the entrance to the garden to do so without too much congestion!

Garden
At the top of the garden is a shelter, which has a 4cm kerb. There is a hard-paved slope down to a hard-paved area with raised beds, benches, sheds, a pond, and pizza and bread ovens. At the bottom of the slope is a shallow grated gutter. Beyond the raised beds area is a grassed area with a space for a bonfire, more raised beds, and fruit trees. At the bottom of the garden is an 88cm gate and a steeper slope into an area which will be turned into a memory garden.
