Welcome

Home Farm is made up of 5 self-catering holiday cottages set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Somerset, near Cheddar, and are ideally situated to explore the historic towns of Wells, Weston-Super-Mare, Bristol, Glastonbury and Bath.

With a backdrop of the Mendip Hills,  and in close proximity to Crook Peak, these recently refurbished cottages (rated 4* Gold by VisitEngland). are set within 2 acres of surrounding fields with beautiful views overlooking the Loxton Valley.

Travel by public transport

Set in a quiet rural location, a car is essential.

You can get a taxi with Apple by calling 01934 666666.

Parking

We have a car park. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the parking to the main entrance, there is 1 step. There is no ramp and no lift.

Cars can stop outside each cottage and park nearby (within the premises) after loading/unloading.

The path is 920mm wide, or more.

The main door is side hung and manual.
The door is 920mm wide.
The main entrance has 1 steps.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights and bedside lamps.
Lights are LED, energy saving and traditional filament. All bedrooms are non-smoking.
All bedrooms have fitted carpets.
No bedrooms have level access. The bedroom nearest the main entrance has 10 steps.
All bedrooms are ensuite.
We have bathrooms with a separate shower.

Kitchen, Lounge, Dining area and log burining stove on the ground floor, king bed, toilet and shower on 1st floor

Home Farm Guest Laundry

From the main entrance to the laundry, there is level access. The route is 900mm wide, or more. The door is 900mm wide.
We have an iron and ironing board. You can use the ironing board sitting down.

Iron and Ironing board are in each cottage (not in Guest Laundry).  It is stored in the upstairs bedroom but can be bought downstairs upon request.

Self catering kitchen

Granary Cottage Kitchen

We have an open plan kitchen.
From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is 1 step. There is no lift and no ramp.
The work surface is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The hob is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The sink is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The oven is available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.

Bakehouse Kitchen Step at threshold of Bakhouse is 10cm DOWN from gravel path to kitchen area of Bakehouse cottage.

Lounge

Bakehouse Lounge

The route is 900mm wide, or more. The door is 660mm wide.
From the main entrance to the lounge, there is 1 step. There is no lift and no ramp.

Step is 10cm down from front door to floor of Bakehouse Cottage on ground floor.  a flight of 10 steps takes you to the upstairs bedroom and bathroom facilities.

Getting around outside

Garden

From the main entrance to the gardens, there is 1 step. There is no lift and no ramp. The route is sloped.

The Bakehouse Garden is situated about 40 yards from the cottage - within the grounds of Home Farm, and is accessed via the loose gravel path.  Thier is one step of 8cm from the path to the garden which is mainly boarded.

Fields

Home Farm is on a gentle slope from road to cottages to fields.

All paths and walkways around Home Farm and its cottages are loose gravel.

Accessibility equipment

There is a grass area within 10 yards of the door of Bakehouse Cottage, and the fields are around 50 yards away - all within the grounds of Home Farm
We have other services for people with accessibility requirements.

We can provide certain things - such as suction grips for bath/shower - please ask the owners with any requests.
