Welcome

Alice Holt Forest is a 610 acre woodland just 5 miles from Farnham. Enjoy a great day out in the woods on foot or by bike, with a range of trails to suit every ability and bike hire available on site. For visitors with limited mobility we are proud of our Easy Access Trail suitable for wheelchair and pushchair users, our state of the art Changing Places registered facilities, and our accessible bike hire facilities. If you’re feeling adventurous why not experience the forest from the trees with Go Ape? The Alice Holt Café serves delicious hot and cold food, ice creams and refreshments and is open daily.

Travel by public transport

You can get to Alice Holt Forest by bus and train.
Opposite the petrol station on A325 The bus stop is 0.5 miles / 0.8 km from Alice Holt Forest.
The nearest train station is Bentley. The train station is 1.9 miles / 3.1 km from Alice Holt Forest.

Visitors can walk from Bentley Train Station to Alice Holt Visitor Centre via the Shipwright's way.

Travel by taxi

You can get a taxi with Anytime Cabs by calling 01252 737475.

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is not free.
There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access.

The main door is side hung and manual.

Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

Ticket/ information desk

Visitor Centre Information Point

From the main entrance to the desk, there is level access. The route is 1720mm wide, or more.
The desk has a low section.

Public toilet

Visitor Centre Toilets

There is a public toilet for disabled visitors.
The toilet is a Changing Places toilet.
You need a RADAR key to open the public toilet.
From the main entrance to the public toilet, there is level access. The route is 930mm wide, or more.
The toilet door is 930mm wide.
There is 1460mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 460mm high. The toilets have handrails.

Changing Places toilet includes: basin with adjustable height and remote controlled lighting and tap functionality; adult change table; and moveable overhead hoist.

Place to eat and drink

Alice Holt Cafe

From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. The route is 960mm wide, or more. The door is 1650mm wide.
To get to a table, there are no steps.
If you need table service, staff can help you.
The route through the dining area is 800mm wide, or more.
There is background music sometimes.
We cater for vegetarian, gluten free (celiacs) and lactose free (dairy free) specific diets.

Getting around outside

Designated Walking Trail

Easy Access Tail

The trail is 2000metres long. The trail is sloped. The trail has seats.

The Easy Access trail is specfically designed with wheelchairs and children's buggies in mind and is readily accessible to both.

Picnic Area

Alice Holt Cafe and Visitor Centre Hub

From the car park to the picnic area, there is level access. The path is 1400mm wide, or more.
The entrance is 3900mm wide.
Some tables have space for wheelchair users. You can bring your own food to the picnic area.

There are several places around the Visitor Centre and main Hub where visitors can bring their own food, however please note that own food cannot be consumed in the Cafe or the Cafe picnic areas.

All-Ability Cycle Track

From the main entrance to this area, there is level access.

Our All-Ability Cycle track is suitable for those just starting out on two wheels, or those who are less-able cyclists. We also offer adapted bikes for hire through our Cycle Centre which is open 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).
