Travel by public transport
The bus service is the X93 and runs every 30 minutes into Whitby and Scarborough. The buses are wheelchair accessible.

Parking
Guests can be dropped off right next to the ramp/slope to enter the property and then move their cars to the other side of the car park.
The slope leading up to the entrance has a single handrail on one side, with a height of 940mm and good visual contrast. This ramp has a gradient of 6 degrees.

The accessible bedroom also has the following features:
There is a 3 foot 9 inches wide bariatric electric profiling bed with rail sides.
There is also a single electric profiling bed and both beds have a waterproof, memory foam mattresses.

There is a large dining table with six sturdy wooden chairs with seat cushions, two of which have arm rests. These chairs have a seat height of 480mm.
Getting around outside
There is a concrete path leading from the car park (opposite the cottage entrance) which provides smooth, level access and has a width of 1.17m. The gate leading into the grass area measures 1.14m wide.
This garden is gated/fenced in and so is safe for children and dogs etc and provides a secure, Autism friendly area.
There is a set of four chairs with backs and armrests and a table for guests to use.
